Supporting Student Success
Supporting Student Success
In construction, scaffolds are temporary frameworks built alongside a structure to provide support while the building is constructed, refreshed, or reinforced.
In education, scaffolding refers to instruction that is tailored to a student's specific needs and abilities, building on existing skills, to promote learning and eventual independence.
My goal as a teacher is the same, to come alongside students, building on their strengths, introducing new skills and strategies with the end goal of fostering independent learners ready to stand on their own.
Scaffold Educational Support specializes in helping students ages eleven to adult reach their potential with individualized support from a Licensed Special Education teacher.
While I work with many different students, I commonly work with students who fall into one or more of the following categories.
Students with ADHD or executive functioning challenges
Autistic learners
Twice-exceptional students
Homeschool students
Students struggling with school anxiety
Students recovering confidence after burnout
Academically capable but overwhelmed students
Students who need individualized pacing
College students needing structure and accountability
Students transitioning out of traditional school settings
Learners who thrive with flexibility and relationship
Students with specific learning disorders, such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, or dyscalculia.
